June 2008 - November 2008

As a Jr. User Experience Generalist I participated in wire framing and user testing. I designed wire frames based upon usability best practices and information obtained from our user testing for various pages across the Zappos sites. These pages include Zeta F.A.Q pages, Measure Your Shoe Size, log in pages, My Account pages, category landing pages, and the home page. I also designed wire frames for HTML emails to be sent to over 1 million shoppers for account maintenance and promotional uses.

During the course of performing user testing for Zappos.com I participated in three user test as an observer and recorder. There were 16 users per test. It was my responsibility to observe each user and record each user's useful comments and observations. I also provided my own observations on the user's actions. I also participated in compiling the results for presentations and statistics used to make and improve decisions made in designing.

"Interactive media design is an exciting field of integrated electronic communications that is becoming an essential part of the business, education, and entertainment industries. The advent of multimedia has established a regeneration of energy in business that has led to the creation of employment opportunities that require an individual who can combine sound, graphic arts, text, and video/film to enhance the dissemination of information. Compounding this is how the Internet is changing the scope of business today, resulting in the creation of a vast new electronic marketplace where commercial transactions take place in Web-based applications." - ArtInstitutes.edu
