CSS was used to arrange the layout of each page and to style the display of all the various types of content within the site.
PHP & WordPress
PHP & WordPress were used to create the "News & Information" section of the website. The PHP based WordPress bloggins system was used to create an ongoing news section easily updated by any authorized user of any skill level.
Flash & Actionscript
Flash & Actionscript were used to create the graphical navigation located on the bottom half of the home page and the logo that appears in the top left corner of each page.
Javascript
Javascript was used to control the size and display of the pop-up windows containing the "Privacy Policy" and "Terms of Use".

PHP has been used to process the form found on the "Online Application" page. When the form is submitted to the PHP confirmation page using the POST method the PHP script submits the information to the site owner in a formatted email.

Flash & Actionscript were used to create the video and video controls located in the header of the home page.

Javascript was used to control the size and display of the pop-up windows containing the "Privacy Policy" and "Terms and Conditions".

Javascript was used on the form under the link "Make An Appointment" to make sure that the required fields of the form are not submitted empty and in the correct format.
AJAX
AJAX was used to create the map on the "Transportation & Parking" page. The buttons on the image are requesting information from external files and importing the information into a div positioned over the map.

PHP has been used to process the form found on the "Make An Appointment" page. When the form is submitted to the PHP confirmation page using the POST method the PHP script submits the information to the site owner in a formatted email.
Flash & Actionscript
Flash & Actionscript were used to create the rotating pictures that appear at the top right corner of each page. Each picture has a one second tween that fades into the next picture. Actionscript was used to create a script that is run each time a new picture loads which chooses how long the movie will pause on that picture before continuing. The script is set to choose a number between 1 & 12 making sure the movie never displays the same way twice and creates a very random and organic feeling.

Originally designed as a printed mailer, I converted the design into a flash animation to be e-mailed to hundreds of invitees. ASP was used to create a form that allowed users to RSVP. The form submitted the RSVP information to the Director of Career Services at The Art Institute of Las Vegas in a formatted email. This feature has been removed in this display version
